Substation Projects

New transmission lines, new power plants and new industrial users have meant significant growth in the demand for substations in Alberta.  Our substation crews are managed by Bill Cassin, who also serves as our Operations Supervisor and manpower and equipment manager.  With his unique understanding of both the work force and our fleet, he consistently puts the right people in the right place at the right time.

Our substation customers are in all sectors.  We have worked on substations for the oilsands since construction on Suncor began in the late 1960’s.  We were involved in the construction of the first substation at Ruth Lake in 1993, Syncrude’s main substation.   We have provided substations for transmission line projects for Trans Alta and Atco, and for oil and gas producer EnCana and its predecessor, Pan Canadian.
